Talk to Someone
***This deal is now complete.***
One of the most difficult aspects to online dating is the cost. Most sites are free to use if you’re just looking around, it doesn’t cost you a cent to see who is out there that could be a potential match. But to actually talk to someone, that’s where the membership fees come in, and rightly so. The way I see it, if you’re really serious about meeting new people, then you become a member of the dating site and you are allowed to communicate with anyone your heart desires.
As a single mom, sometimes those membership fees are a bit steep for my budget. But when I find someone I think I might be interested in, I want to talk to them, not just “wink” or “smile” at them for weeks. I want to e-mail and chat and possibly exchange phone numbers.
Well, guess what?!? Chemistry.com is having a Free Communication Weekend from 3/25/11 until 3/27/11.
So sign up, check out who’s available in your area and then from Friday to Sunday you can take advantage of the opportunity to send messages to the singles you’re interested in.
Not in the market? Share this with someone you know who is dating (or trying to date). And while we’re at it, if you know someone who is using online dating sites, when it comes to birthdays or holidays, consider giving the gift of a membership! Who knows, if they meet the one you could say you brought them together!

Classic Movies
Gone With The Wind. Mary Poppins. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Rear Window.
Movies I’ve seen. At home. On my little TV. I have never had a chance to see them on the BIG screen. You know, at the movie theater.
Well now I can (and you can too)!
Cinema City Stadium Theatres in Anaheim Hills, CA is showing classic films (some even in *gasp* black and white). Two Wednesdays a month, $7.00 a ticket all through 2011. How awesome!
