If you’re just joining me on my surrogacy journey, I recommend you start here.
Have you taken a look at the countdown clock to the right?!?
Friday I went to the Quest lab near my house and had blood drawn to test my Estradiol level. The results came back late that afternoon: 197. (Note: Quest and the Red Cross need to get into the waxing business; that tape takes off some major arm-hair!)
Yeah, I don’t know what that means, either. But the nurse said that it’s close enough to 200 and that’s a good thing. Okey dokey! Moving on to things I can understand
Anyway, I’m to increase the amount of my every-3-days estradiol valerate injection to 3mg (.15mL) starting today. The medicine’s not that bad, it’s just the HUGEASS needle that my mom has to stick in my lower back! And I’m to continue my daily lupron injection, too.
My next major appointment is this Friday. I’m taking the day off work and driving up to L.A. to go get more bloodwork done and an ultrasound to check the thickness of my uterine lining. Basically we’re looking for somewhere close to 11mm. Doesn’t sound like much, but it feels like a lot! I remember from the previous transfer that my insides felt “heavy” and I felt sluggish (not to be confused with feeling like a slug; that was the birth control pills).
Transfer day is getting closer!!!
